My interest in photography began when I was 15, when I had a truly terrible little camera and no idea what I was doing. I experimented and played, and gradually I learned to make the most of my equipment to get some halfway decent results. I taught myself how to edit my photographs (a skill I'm constantly working on!).

A year later I invested in my first dSLR, a Canon EOS 30D. It was a very exciting time! Suddenly a lot of the limits of my previous camera were gone, and I spent a long time practising and learning how to use this fancy shiny new camera. I slowly built my collection of lenses (a telephoto for wildlife, a macro for...well, macros, a wide-angle for landscapes) and had a lot of fun learning how to use them and improving both my shooting and my editing skills. I have been fortunate enough to go to some incredible places (Iceland, Utah, South Africa) where I was able to photograph beautiful landscapes and wildlife, many of which will be showcased in my shop! I have continued to expand my collection of lenses, my expertise and have recently upgraded to a Canon EOS 70D, which is just as exciting as the previous camera. :)

I have been selling prints of my work since 2011 here on Etsy (although my shop has only been open for about six months of that). I use a professional printer for this (Photobox.co.uk) but personally inspect each and every print to make sure it is perfect before I send it out. My selling career has been very inconsistent, as I have a habit of leaving the country for months at a time to volunteer with wildlife in South Africa!
